Game Maker Studio is the perfect way to create 2D games. In this program, you will create unique works. Quickly and on many platforms. Your games will be created in a friendly environment, using the GML language. This is a scripting language, and the program has many built-in functions. Using the program is quite simple. We have sprites, objects, rooms, fonts, sounds, etc. There is quite a bit of it. In each object, we place events that are the most important. We can write our own scripts or use ready-made ones. The program has Polish language and a rich user manual. The basic version is free, but you have to pay for exporting games. They can be uploaded to a browser or desktop of various systems. There are also options for creating games for Android or other consoles. The program’s community is large and there is a Polish group associated with the program, the so-called GM Clan.

Another valuable program for creators is Magix Music Maker. This program is used to create music and has most of the functions that programs of this type have. You can upload instruments and buy them. Most instruments can be configured. We have tracks and effects and various settings. Music can have different tempos and time signatures. You can set a few interesting things. We can export the finished piece to mp3, for example. To start, you can learn to create on ready-made tracks or buy some interesting ones. There are many sources on the Internet. You can create pieces yourself using the mouse. Each instrument has different sounds. There are dozens to choose from. Creating good pieces requires practice and knowledge of the rules of music. There are many courses and books on the subject, so start with that.

What other programs do I use? My favorite Aseprite is for creating graphics – it has palettes, layers, animations, lots of interesting settings and graphic generators. It is best to work with a graphics tablet for this program. You can also use Pure Ref – a program for placing graphic sketches on the desktop, e.g. from Deviant Art. This way we have some sketch and preview drawings to work with. In Aseprite we will create many interesting graphics. It is user-friendly and worth buying. It has a slightly archaic interface, but that is a matter of taste. What tablet to buy? It is important that it has functional buttons and a large display. I use XP Pen – from what I remember it has Artist Pro in its name. It is important to buy refills for the pen we draw with. I also use other programs. Audacity for editing sounds. Pyxel Edit is also useful – when it comes to textures that can be combined in it and interesting boards can be built. This is an important function that is missing in Aseprite. My next favorite program is Mindomo – it is used for creating neat notes and charts for the computer and for use at work. Very nice program, although quite expensive.

It is worth paying attention to the music you can listen to at work. I like to use music for coders for coding. There is productive music and various other music that affect us. It is worth experimenting with music in our workplace. It is important that it gives us a boost to work! Although I often do live and mainly work then, music is useful and affects my mood. Manipulating mood is important in life and work. Music is there to be used. I focus my social media on YouTube, but also Facebook and Instagram. I am also thinking about TikTok, but I am not sure if it is my medium. It is worth sending newsletters from our website. A Facebook group is essential. Life in Poland can be hard, but it is not that bad. I have met many valuable people on the Internet, with whom I talk about projects and more. I live in a small town of Chełm. It is hard to find a job here. However, I have always liked computers and have already earned a little in my business and professional career. I focus on creating various things. That is my strategy. Sometimes it’s hard for me to motivate myself. However, I have my own pace and I try to deliver the best content I can. I have a lot of hits. So if you want to, you can!

What programs do I use to edit my videos? Microsoft Clipchamp is enough for me. I don’t install unnecessary applications and I try to keep my computer tidy. It’s important to take care of archives and document flow. In business, a lot of documentation is created – schedules, plans, sketches, compositions. I always have some music notebooks and other important books at hand that allow me to learn. I try to exercise sometimes, but it’s not always the same. I will write a separate post about exercises. It’s hard to find clients in Poland. But you can meet many valuable people with whom you can create good projects. The key issue is money, which is often lacking. But there are many Polish companies that are successful in the creative field. It’s important to believe in yourself and keep taking steps forward. One day, maybe some great work will come out of it, which can change the world of many people. This is my mission and I try to create something valuable. As I wrote earlier – I want to do something for people. Make a contribution. The programs I mentioned help achieve this. There are also many interesting applications on my phone. I will definitely write about them.
